Laptop Distribution Ceremony was held at COMSATS University Sahiwal. There were 272 Students who were selected by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for award laptop under Prime Minister's Laptop Scheme (Phase IV & V). Ms. Farah Masood (PAS), Commissioner Sahiwal was invited as Chief Guest but she could not attend due to important meeting on video link.

On her behalf, Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat, Director CUI, Sahiwal Campus distributeed laptops among selected students. He congratulated all students for being awarded laptops on the basis of their academic performance. He specially thanked the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for awarding laptops to the students of COMSATS University.

He advised all students to put their efforts to start their own business after completion of studies. He further emphasized on adoption of latest technology to compete with the world. Mian Gul Muhammad, Additional Registrar CUI/Focal Person of PM's Laptop Scheme, Mr. Asif Mushtaq, Deputy Registrar, CUI and Mr. Safdar Ali, Deputy Registrar/ Focal Person, Prime Minister's Youth Initiative Program were also part of the ceremony. Mr. Safdar Ali, Deputy Registrar briefed that more than 800 students of CUI, Sahiwal campus have already been awarded laptops under this scheme.
