Freelancing Convention 2019 was held at Quaid e Azam Educational Complex, Sahiwal.
Convention was organized with collaboration of COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI),
Sahiwal Campus and e-Rozgaar center. Main purpose of this event was to help youth
to start their freelancing career and grow as a self-employed person.
This convention is equipped with fully actionable, info-packed power talks & activities.
Students from different institution of Sahiwal took participation in this event.
Director CUI, Sahiwal Campus Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat was chief guest and
Director Quaid-e-Azam Educational Complex Mr. Ch. Mubashar Hassan, Director Public
Relation Sahiwal Mr. Aqeel Ashfaq, Director Arts Council Dr. Riaz Hamdani, President
Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Rashid Hameed Ch were guests of honor.
The focused idea of the convention was to aware people about how they can avail
employment opportunities and enhance their income with online platforms and tech
startup. Objective is to eradicate unemployment from country and make this region
economical and ecological stronger. Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat said that freelancing
allows individuals to gain access to clients beyond any geographic barriers, be
it different states in the country or even overseas locations.
This helps a person stretch beyond geography and work on what rewards their skill
the best. “Today the way business & people work is changing rapidly. Freelancing
opens up a new world of opportunities to the global workforce”, suggests Director
CUI, Sahiwal Campus. Deputy Registrar of CUI, Sahiwal Campus & Focal Person of e-Rozgaar
center Safdar Ali told that students earned more that 70 thousand US Dollars during
learning in Sahiwal center of e-Rozgaar. He said that with collaboration of Punjab
Information Board (PITB) CUI, Sahiwal Campus is giving free training on freelancing
to empower our youth
