Orientation Session of 4th Batch of e-Rozgaar Center was held at COMSATS
University Sahiwal Campus. Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat, Director COMSATS University,
Sahiwal Campus was the Chief Guest whereas, Mr. Mian Jamil Ahmad, Additional Commissioner,
Sahiwal Division was the Guest of Honor.
The Ceremony started with recitation from the holy Quran. Mr. Safdar Ali, Deputy
Registrar / Focal Person of e-Rozgaar Center briefed about the role of management
of COMSATS University in establishment of e-Rozgaar Center at COMSATS University,
Sahiwal Campus under the flagship project of Punjab Information Technology Board
(PITB). He shared that the Sahiwal center was established in shortest notice with
its own resources whereas, the funds were released by the Govt. of Punjab at later
stage. He further shared success story of the center with the audience.
The Guest of Honor, Mr. Mian Jamil Ahmad congratulated all selected students of
4th Batch of this program. He appreciated efforts of the management of
COMSATS and PITB for providing freelancing training opportunities to the youth.
He was surprised to know the success stories of the graduates of this center. He
extended his full support for smooth functioning of the center.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat welcomed and congratulated all
New students. He highlighted the importance of technology in development of economies.
He advised students to learn latest technology to compete with the world. He further
extended gratitude to the higher management of PITB and the Govt. of Punjab for
establishing e-Rozgaar Center. He desired to continue full support for smooth running
of the center. He congratulated Mr. Muhammad Asghar, Lab Manager and all Trainers
for successful arrangement of the Orientation. Mr. Ejaz Farooq, Assistant Program
Manager of e-Rozgaar briefed about background and objectives of the program. He
shared that 23 out of 40 centers have already been established in different districts
of the Punjab out of which, COMSATS Sahiwal is considered one of best centers in
whole Punjab. He thanked the management of COMSATS for providing every support to
this center.
The ceremony concluded with presentation of Souvenirs to the Guest of Honor and
newly appointed Site Manager, Ms. Ferheen Ahmad followed by the group photo.
